THE DRIED POND
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.” Psalm 37:10
We need not fret over the abundance of those that have chosen their own way rather than the Lords. They seem rich in this world but their riches like themselves will disappear like a pond that has dried from the summers heat. “For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be”
They may disappear from this world but like the saved the soul never dies. One day the wicked will be raised and stand before CHRIST in their body and be judged. Their once held riches has turned to Hell’s torment and their pleasure and satisfaction is far from them. “yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place”
You will no longer see the wicked where they once were. “His seat at the table is vacant; he is seen no more riding over his grounds; he is no more in the social circle where he found his pleasure, or in the place of business or of revelry: you are impressed with the feeling that "he is gone." You look where he was, but he is not there; ” ~ Albert C. Barnes “and it shall not be.”
What happened to their glory,
It has vanished far away.
Far from any resemblance,
In the place they now stay.
It has vanished far away.
Far from any resemblance,
In the place they now stay.
They have changed their place of glory
To a place of high regret.
Wishing that’d trusted JESUS,
Who had paid all their debt.
To a place of high regret.
Wishing that’d trusted JESUS,
Who had paid all their debt.
“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15
