The Depth Of The Most High

“Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.” Psalm 36:6

The human mind is not capable of understanding the magnitude of God and His righteousness.  Man can only compare it to those things which are visible.  What better way is there for man to try to visualize God’s righteousness than to compare it to the greatest, and highest mountain? “Thy righteousness is like the great mountains”

The depth of GOD’s judgement is visualized by comparing it to the depth of the great oceans. A place where man has not yet seen the deepest part. The depth of God's loving kindness is too deep for us to understand. “thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD”

We stand in awe of God’s love and forgiveness.  We can only express it with great passion from our heart, “O LORD”! We are completely overwhelmed by his excellent glory. God is, “I AM that I AM”, the All Sufficient, complete in every respect! “O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.”

I saw a great mountain

It stood tall and great.

But to compare it to God,

We can’t equate.

The depth of the ocean

Cannot, express.

The judgments of God,

The ocean is less.

God's righteousness is pure,

To the highest degree.

His righteousness is deeper

Then, the deepest sea.

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” Hebrews 1:3
