A Sweetheart

“More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” Psalm 19:10

The Word of GOD both Old and New Testaments are in all ways perfect.  They are the Light that guides us, the law that shows us how to live and the grace of the LORD is found in them.

They show us where we stand in life and give us promises that cannot be found elsewhere.  They take the worry out of our souls and deliver us to places we do not deserve.

I have wanted earthly things

And found I needed more.

I was always left unsatisfied.

I was worse than I was before.

Then I found The Word of GOD

And my soul was satisfied.

I had no thirst for anything else

In its WORD I had complied!

“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.” Psalm 17:15

Nothing Hard About That

“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.” Psalm19:9

While some would have you think the gospel is hard to understand, it is quite the opposite.  Good news is sweet to the ear and easy to understand!

The Apostle Paul said it this way, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” Nothing hard about that!

 How glorious the Gospel sweet,

Removes sin and makes complete.

To each that in their trust observe

Such great love we don’t deserve!

How long it lasts, well it never ends,

Enduring forever our sin it amends.

No greater grace can ever be given,

From our dissent through Christ risen!

No better grace we’re entirely whole.

No fright within He takes control.

No whisper of defeat we hear.

No thought of men do we fear!

As a crystal stream God’s way is clear.

No imperfection, no darkness near.

As clean as the sparkling sky.

I’ll worship my King that’s sits on High!

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

A Must Read

“The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:8

Great are the teachings of GOD; they are superior to the greatest of men.  The first time you read and realized it is GOD speaking to your heart about your salvation it is joy unspeakable!

His commandments are purer than gold.  They are the guide for our lives and remove darkness with His wonderful light!  They are the playbook for a pure and undefiled Christian life!

Though men make demands

That never changes a heart.

The teaching of the Holy GOD,

True salvation He will impart!

The joy received is full and free,

Happiness captivates the soul.

The commandments of the Lord,

Are sure, to make a sinner whole!

He didn’t leave us stranded

His commandments are a guide.

Teaching us how to live our lives

And walk closely by His side!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

The Melody of GOD

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalm 19:7

We used to sing this psalm years ago when I worked with Brother Roloff.  Every time I read it I begin to sing.  I thank GOD that He put a song in my heart. There is nothing greater than the melody of GOD!

O praise the LORD and give glory of GOD

His law is ever so perfect.

It reveals to the heart our imperfection and shame

And the sinner is then converted!

There are no mistakes in what He has done.

Everything He has spoken is true!

He has taken my grief and given me relief

And what He has done for me, He'll also do for you!

He has no regard for those that sit high,

But to all it is all the same!

To the wise and the simple, His law is no different!

Trust Jesus, He has taken your blame!

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14

JESUS Still Remains

“His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.” Psalm 19:6

Out of the east comes the rising of the sun and our day begins.  When it goes down in the west our day is over and somewhere else another day begins!

We understand that the sun really never goes down but it consistently spreads its light.  Like JESUS it’s always there! 

There is a lot of fear going on these days but let me comfort you by telling you, if this earth was to disincarnate before our very eyes, JESUS still remains!  

I’m stuck and I’m stymied

At the setting of the sun!

To where has it been

And what has it done?

Has it stopped and rested

Or taken a needed nap?

Has it kept on going

Where it cannot be mapped?

Just because you can’t see JESUS

Doesn’t mean He’s not there!

Out to the ends of the heavens

His glory to declare!

Having warmed the hearts of many

He keeps them by His side.

Growing in His prefect light

They are completely satisfied!

So everywhere, forever

He is there to care.

Moving across the heavens

You will always find Him there!

"Am I a God who is near," declares the LORD, "And not a God far off? "Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?" declares the LORD "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD” Jeremiah 23:23-24

The Brightness of the SON!

“Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.” Psalm 19:5

When the curtain of night is removed and you face the brilliance of the sun filled morning there is a certain vigor that fills the soul.

Each day the sun rises you have new opportunities in life.  Better choices can be made and forgiveness can be found.

One day when the sun will raise no more in your life the choices you made will decide your future abode.  Trust the Light of the World, JESUS the SON of GOD!

How vigorous is the morning sun

It lifts the heart to a grand degree.

Its brightness and its allure

Brings power to even me!

One look at it rising

From the eastern sky.

Its beauty and its glamour

Is fascination to the eye!

Once above the horizon

It’s impossible to look upon.

The intensity of its brightness

Reminds of GOD’s SON!

Each and every morning

It always does the same.

Bringing hope for tomorrow

Just like JESUS name!

“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” John 12:46

Glory Song

“Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,” Psalm 19:4

 Out of the heavens there comes a song that sings of the glory of the ALMIGHTY!  The ‘Glory Song’ is heard everywhere, even to the ends of the earth!

The sun sings of the brightness of SON, and of the dwelling place of His glory!

I heard a song like angels singing

With celestial harps behind them.

The earth was filled in every place

And the sun was like a diadem!

The heavens joined the earth to sing

Of the wondrous glory of JESUS.

O my GOD you are everything!

In Your creation our hope increases!

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1

The Upper Class

“The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”  Psalm 1:4

It is a fact that all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.  All means all; there are no exceptions!  There are two classes of people, righteous and unrighteous. 

All “born” are unrighteous and all “born again” are righteous!  What you do with CHRIST will give the answer to which class you are in!

There are two classes upon this earth,

One born to sin the other in rebirth!

One is ungodly filled with sin and strife.

The other made righteous by the SON into life!

One is filled with sorrow and without any hope.
The other filled with peace and made able to cope!

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Where's GOD

“There is no speech nor language, wheretheir voice is not heard.” Psalm 19:3

Where do you find GOD?   He is established in His creation!  Where do you find GOD?  The 66 books of His Word affirm Him!  Where do you find GOD?  His people declare Him. 

To find GOD is a marvelous thing.

Pure delight, like has never been seen!

Sins freedom has come.  Death passes away.

The soul refreshed upon that day.

A heart filled with hope like never before.

Waiting to meet loved ones, at Heavens shore!

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” 1 John 1:1-4

He's a Know It All

“Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.”  Psalm 19:2

We live in a day when everyone has an opinion on everything.

It makes no difference what the subject is you will always find those with strong opinions.

The truth of the matter is our opinions are in most cases not worth much. We puff up like bull frogs and blast away on subjects that have nothing to do with the Gospel.

There is only one opinion that counts, GOD's! When He speaks it is truth in its purest form! It never changes! It is never a mistake! Lets listen to the Mighty Voice!

Everywhere you cast your eyes

You see GOD in His creation.

In the mountains and the valleys

You can see Him there.

You can watch the trees swaying

As wind goes through the branches.

Just as GOD the HOLY SPIRT

Breathes life into our hearts.

His voice is like the thunder

That echoes through the valleys.

Prompting all that hear Him

That GOD's Way is never wrong!

"To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.” Psalm 68:33

Take a Look

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy work.” Psalm 19:1

Anyone that can see the glory of GOD's creation and deny He did it is a fool! Who else could have done such a thing? Did all this just happen? I think not!  Whether it is morning or evening, winter, spring, summer or fall, it is a most spectacular site to see!

The blade of grass and the giant Red Wood tree stretch themselves toward the Sun from where the get their strength. The rains declare the “Living Water” that saturates them with life! And “the heavens declare the glory of God”!

Thank you LORD!

I saw the sun when it arose.

The brilliance of it bright!

In the evening when it set.

It was splendor and delight!

When dark set in the stars came out.

And lit the darkened sky.

As I looked upon this glorious site

GOD's creation I couldn't deny!

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16

A Special People

“Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.”  Psalm 18:50

We may not be a king as David was, but for those that place their trust in CHRIST, they “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;” 1 Peter 2:9, and the liberation for both comes from the ALMIGHTY!

I have faced battles that have come but have never lost when CHRIST was my defense.  He lifts me higher than the eye can see, He triumphs over every enemy.  It makes no difference how great the battle is, His power is greater than any foe.  So I’ll place my trust in CHRIST and know He alone is my victory!

O the love of my Savior,

It’s hard to understand.

I’ve failed Him over and over again,

Yet He refuses to let go of my hand!

O the depth of His forgiveness,

Nothing can compare to His grace.

My life full of sin and sorrow,

Yet through His love, He took my place!

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

He Walks Upon the Waves

  

“Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.”  Psalm 18:49

I have a joy within me, it’s like a spring bubbling from my soul.  With every battle there is victory, no matter the battles end.

 

When I am weak my GOD is mighty, He takes me by His hand.  He leads the way before me even when I don’t understand.  He lifts me when I fall and when I stand He props me up. 

Neither the wind nor the rain can keep me from the fight; my GOD is ever before me.  He calms the raging waters, He walks upon the waves.  His voice is that of thunders that drive my enemies away!  He is JESUS!

O praise the mighty SAVIOR

I’m sheltered in His grace!

Nothing can ever harm me

Anywhere or anyplace!

His eyes are always upon me

Nothing can move them away!

He puts His arms around me

And protects me every day!

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Death Goes to Hell

“He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.”  Psalm 18:48

There is not an enemy too strong for the LORD!  He defeats all of them without a strain. His Word melts every battle or fear.  He is constantly strong, He is omnipotent!   There is none more powerful! 

What is there to fear when JESUS is your SAVIOR?  There is nothing, no not anything to fear!  He’s the One that calms the raging sea and commands the winds to stop.  Out of His hand He threw the stars into their place and set the planets where they belong.  He created man in His own image; He is the creator of all things.  How could His own creation even dare to cause Him trouble?

Please listen my friend not even death can defeat the believer!  JESUS already fought that battle and won!  The grave couldn’t restrain Him!  Glory to GOD He raised Himself from the dead, slapped death in the face, walked among His friends and will give you the same victory if you will trust Him and His forgiveness!    

There’s not an enemy GOD can’t handle.

No matter how big or how small.

Giants to me they disturb my comfort.

Through GOD’s grace I’ll watch them fall!

Hold my hand O my sweet SAVIOR

Guide my way with each step I take.

Push aside all of my enemies.

My dependence on Thee is no mistake!

“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5

The Victory Song

“It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.”  Psalm 18:47

Sweeter is the revenge of GOD on our behalf than to take things into our own hands!  Our reliance on GOD’s promises is real! The evidence of our faith will appear and we will be lifted by GOD’s grace!

Revenge is ugly when we interfere and try to do what GOD alone is capable of doing.  GOD’s revenge includes mercy ours is too often merciless!   Leave revenge to GOD, He will handle it! 

My heart was hard when I took revenge

On the one that did me wrong.

I wished I would have left it to GOD

Where all the vengeance belonged!

Sorrow came from my feeble attempt.

Everything I did was wrong.

I’ve learned my lesson that’s for sure.

Through JESUS I’ll sing my victory song!

“To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.”  Deuteronomy 32:35
