5. The Wrath of “The LAMB”

“Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.”   Psalm 1:5

It is heartbreaking to see folks, especially your own family casually living their lives for themselves without one thought for the Lord and what He has done for them. They see themselves as righteous even though the Word of God plainly teaches, “All have sinned and come short of the Lord” (Romans 3:23).

We live in a day of self-complacency. The need of a soul saving God is far from the thoughts of this world. The world only sees its own goodness and no need for the sin forgiving Christ. We live in a time of justification of sin that Gods Word plainly condemns.  Justifying sin as love, for those that commit such sin. God calls it unrighteousness. God says, “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a) and no one will ever change what Gods Word says.  There is still hope if you turn to Christ, (Romans 6:23b) but I would not tempt God. Quickly decide to follow Christ before it is everlasting too late.

They will faint in despair, and no one will even care.
They have refused the love of the LAMB!
Now it’s too late for them to repair.

They have thought more of self, and did as they pleased.
They refused the Word of GOD!
It’s themselves they have appeased.

In contempt they are for those who choose
To be in the Fathers will!
Gnashing with their teeth, on their way to a burning Hell.

There never was and never will be anyone born that doesn't have an appointment with GOD.  When the appointment time is scheduled only GOD knows and believe me, everyone is always on time.

“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:” Revelation 6:16

4. WHY?

“The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”  Psalm 1:4

Why do you rage in your heart?
When peace is right at hand.
Don’t you know Jesus loves you?
Don’t you even understand?

Why must you weep and morn,
And struggle in your pain?
When all could be well,
If you would trust in Jesus’ name.

If you would look to the cross
And see what Christ has done.
You would be free from sin,
And your victory could be won!

This is the comparison of the unregenerate to the regenerated, those that choose their own way rather the Gods way.  They delight themselves in self and try to satisfy but it is far from them.

They desperately seek peace but it can’t be found. Everything is temporary and the things that seem to satisfy float away in the air as if it never happened.

They scoff at God and those that follow Him.  Their time is running out!  Not so for the believer their legacy is forever, encompassed with the love of the Creator!

“Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.”  Luke 3:17

3. Springs of Living Water

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  Psalm 1:3

I had no hope of blooming,
beside a dried up brook.
No leaves or flowers beauty.
I was ugly and mistook.

I tried with all my effort,
To make myself look good,
But even with that effort,
I was just a piece of wood.

How sad I’ll be forever,
In this lowly state.
No hope of being pretty,
It seems to be my fate!

I need the Holy Gardner,
To pull up this dead seed,
And plant it by His River,
Then I know I will succeed.

What a wonderful description of the one that is regenerated in Christ. Like a tree unproductive, uprooted and replanted by “rivers of water”, so is the one that is “born again” uprooted and changed completely by one sip of the Living Water, JESUS!

Cultivating around a dead tree will not revive it anymore more than the person that tries by their own effort to change and find peace with GOD. Someone other than themselves must do the fertilizing.

Only Christ can change a broken and unproductive soul that is dead in sin and change it into one that “never withers” but is brought to everlasting life through springs of Living Water!!!
“If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”  John 4:10

2. Constantly Abiding

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”  Psalm 1:2

In everything that I may do,
My GOD, I depend on You.
You’re in my thoughts all the day.
Only You can bring me through.

And in the night when I go to sleep,
May my mind be drawn above.
Showered by Your peaceful way,
Made complete by Your love.

The believer’s joy is maintained by constantly keeping the LORD in the center of their heart and mind.  Jesus is our Savior, example and our GOD.  Keeping Him in the center of our thoughts gives the peace and strength we need to struggle against anything we are ever faced with.

A watchful eye on the way He lived His live, will always give the victory in ours.
GOD’s Word is all the power we need, to live our lives and succeed.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5

1. Walk, Stand and Sit

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”  Psalm 1:1

Each person that is born again will have the desire to be holy!  “Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God." (Leviticus 20:7)

If our hearts are open to the instruction of Holy Spirit, He will help us to “walk”, “stand” and “sit” in the place that will honor GOD.

I will walk in the strength of Jesus.
In His power I will not fail.
I will trust His living Word.
Through its strength I will prevail.

I shall live in the presence of Christ.
His glory will light my way.
Never wanting for anything else,
Just to abide and never stray.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Ephesians 5:15-16
