GOD’s Time is Now

“How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?”  Psalm 13:2

When it seems as though GOD has turned His back on us, the reality for the Saints is, He never will!  The FATHER turned His back only once, when His SON was on the cross, taking our place.  The truth is; on that day, the FATHER’s love for His SON was never in question!  It was our sin He turned His back on!

All the fears that come to GOD’s Saints are wiped from their hearts and there are no restraints. He washes them away with His nailed scared hands.  Everything that happens is only what He plans!

How long will I be in this gloom?
Your touch I pray it to resume!

Without it I’m feeble and I’m weak!
Just Your touch, is all that I seek!

I don’t know how to take anymore.
I pray my peace, You will restore!

No longer to have, this fear that I feel.
To you my FATHER, I make my appeal!

I know you hear the words that I speak.
I know your promises, you forever keep!

As I wait for Your imminent assist.
All these fears of mine, I will resist!

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”   1 Corinthians 15:57

This is the Pits

How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?  Psalm 13:1

Loneliness is the pits! But we all face it from time to time in our lives.  We have times of trouble when we find it hard to believe anyone understands.  Our thoughts run away with us and the mind is caught up in our misery.  Even to the point we believe the false feelings that run rabid through the alleys of our mind!

The real answer doesn’t come from us!  It comes from the Word of GOD!  Believe what it says and trust the GOD that wrote it!

I’m troubled deep in the depth of despair.
I seem all alone and no one to care.

I know my thoughts are even a lie.
But still in my pain, I wrestle and cry.

How long O LORD will I face this pit?
How long before this weight You will lift?

Is there something I can do to make it leave?
Please Dear LORD, help me believe!

“Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”  Mark 9:24b

These Three

“The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.” Psalm 12:7

The eye can be deceitful if it isn’t focused on the One who is in control of all things!

While it may appear you are surrounded by everything evil and the wicked are exalted, turn your eyes on Jesus! You will see you are not alone and your future is bright.

The FATHER watches over you! The SON is your advocate and the HOLY SPIRIT will comfort you as He guides you through anything you may ever face.

There is no fear, no worry or want for those that trust the Heavenly FATHER, believe through the SON and are led by the SPIRIT!  This is GOD and He is in control!

The FATHER watches over me,
Like the hen does for her chicks!
Keeping me close to His side
And every challenge He will fix!

The SON, He is my advocate
He pleads my victory through!
Receiving every sin I’ve made
Taking what I was due!

The HOLY SPIRIT strolls with me
He guides my daily walk.
He comforts this soul of mine
And constantly we talk!

So when I’m faced with sudden woe
And things seem so perplexed.
I’ll keep my mind on These Three,
Knowing how much I’m blessed!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:35-39

A Sure Hope

“Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”  Psalm 12:7

Hope is a wonderful condition of the mind but it will fade if it has nothing to sustain it.  Hope without Christ has no longevity, it dissolves from the heart and disappointment is sure to follow.  Fear will take its place!

The protection of GOD is sure hope, in every situation He provides and sustains His own.  Forever the LORD shall keep them!

There is a hope that is within me
And nothing can ever take it away!
Preserved by the blood of my JESUS!
He is with me each step of the way!

With this hope I don’t have to worry.
It won’t leave like a cool summer breeze.
Wherever I am it will surround me.
All my worry and heartache flees!

It can’t be compared with earthly wishes.
That come and goes like fall and spring.
This hope I have is forever and ever.
It’s made possible by JESUS the KING!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13

Perfectly Written

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”  Psalm 12:6

There is nothing more sacred for the eye to see, the ear to hear or the hand to touch than the Word of GOD!

GODs word is uncontaminated and pure in every sense!  The Word of GOD is forever, unmovable and unchangeable!  It is alive in the lives of those that trust it and reveals itself to those that are searching for the peace that only it can bring!

The Word of GOD is absolute as it is!  Nothing can be added to it and nothing should ever be removed from it!  Man my try to contaminate it by their interpretation of it but The Word of GOD will not be moved.  The Word of GOD is unimpeachable and the intelligence of man is far below it!

The FATHER wrote it, JESUS lives it and the HOLY SPIRIT reveals it!  IT IS GOD’s WORD!

Alive it is and full of riches.
The words thereof are pure as gold!
It lights the path that I must travel
The brightest smiles it does unfold!

Never a worry when I read it.
It takes the dread and pain away!
Nothing heals like the words within it.
And all my troubles, they flyaway!

Oh thank GOD for this treasure.
Without its words I cannot live!
It melts my anger and lifts my burden
Oh the grace that JESUS gives!

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Always! All Better!

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.”  Psalm 12:5

With every fear that comes to the believer, there also comes the promise from GOD, “I will arise”!

Although at times we seem to be hit from every side by the things that would cause us harm, both physically and mentally.  We must always remember who surrounds us and He says, “I will arise”!

GOD will remove these stressful dragons and take the wind and fire from them!  He will place the believer in the safety of His care and set them by the still waters!

Be patient GODs forgiven, He understands the sorrow of your situation. He will never allow more to come upon you than you can bear.  Be thankful He finds you worthy as you go through this time of need!

GODs timing is perfect!  He is building up our faith.  GOD will not lie! His promise is sure!  He will answer when your time is His now!  This is the word of GOD, “now I will arise”!

I am never left alone
GOD’s always by my side.
Though tempted with this fear
On GODs promises I will ride!

When impatience takes me over,
And torments my weak mind.
I’ll seek the face of JESUS
And my fears He’ll unwind!

No matter what I face
He will never leave my side.
When GODs time is perfect
The fear in me has died!

Like a Serpents Tongue

“Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?”  Psalm 12:4

It is foolish to think our words can ever compete with the Word of the Living GOD!  Comparing ours to His is like comparing a thimble full of water to the Pacific Ocean, a blade of grass to a giant sequoia or a speck of sand to the universe!

Our vocabulary is not capable to express in the slightest way the mind of GOD and yet He at all times can speak to ours without the slightest problem.   To put it simple is to say, “GOD is” and “we are”!  “We are” because “GOD is”.  Now GOD being “is” means He always “was” even when we were “not”!  If we “were not” while GOD “was” then GOD “is” “before us” and if GOD “is” “before us” He had to “create us”!  How can anyone other than a fool think they are smarter than GOD?

It is the spirit of Lucifer that tells us we have no need for control over ourselves, that we can do as we please and we are our own god!  But it is CHRIST that gives the victory over arrogance and self-centeredness and causes our speech to be sweet to His ear!

Like a serpents tongue
Their words hiss out.
Blinding victims with a
Flattering spout!

They coil in front
Of a listening crowd
Speaking their poison
With their mouth out loud!

But when it’s all over
And the hissing goes still.
They are empty of words
And out of GOD's will!

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”  Psalm 19:14

If it’s Not In The Book-RUN!

“The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:”   Psalm 12:3

The proud speak with flattery; swelled up in their own wisdom they establish their own agenda.  Their dialogue is for one purpose, to lift them to a lofty position.  The LORD will cut them off!

The meek trust GOD and rely on His Word, it is established forever.  Their boasting is in GOD and not themselves.  They understand their weakness and rely on the power of the Almighty for their strength.  They will inherit the earth!

Right now they seem so appealing.
The things they speak sound so great.
But absent they are from all reality
And one day GOD, will eliminate!

All of their words will not be appealing.
Their lips now turn to sputter and spit!
The things their tongue used to mention
Are put with themselves in a bottomless pit!

So dear soul, be careful to whom you listen.
Make sure their words are in line with the Book!
Never reason with another man’s wisdom!
When he has trusted in self and GOD he forsook!

“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 1 Corinthians 2:4

THE SLICK TALKING SELF RIGHTEOUS

“They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.”  Psalm 12:2

Empty wells are the words of the ungodly.  They promise to quench the thirst of those that listen but satisfaction is far from them.  Words from a dry well bring dehydration, but the Living Water hydrates the body and the soul.

They gather together to reinforce their lies, they smooth talk one another and pat each others back.  Their deception is reinforced by their wicked minds and many are deceived.

Their interest is in themselves they speak with words that entice and flatter. They draw the hearer in.  They have a forked tongue and speak out of both sides of their mouths to satisfy and draw all to themselves.  Great swelling words may tickle the ear but the Word of GOD is absolute truth.

Promising words of great expectation,
Fooling the hearts of wishful souls.
Narcissistic bullfrogs with arrogant talking,
Ruining lives, they have set their goals.

Their lips move like the wings of a butterfly.
They never stop but they go flattering on.
Expressing to you with this deceitful melody,
Cunningly planting the lies they spawn!

“For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.” 2 Peter 2:18

Where Have They Gone

“Help, LORD, for the godly man ceases to be, For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.”  Psalm 12:1

I am filled with sorrow when I see the changes that have come in the 45 years of my salvation.  I constantly ask where have the godly gone and what happened to holy living people with conviction?  I have to ask myself if I have fallen into mediocrity and become complacent.

Urgency has left the message!  Where has the cry of the preacher gone?  Where are the Elijah’s of this hour?  Evangelism is disappearing.  Soul winning is gone in most cases. Does anybody have visitation anymore?  We are told these were the old ways and they don’t work!  I say countless numbers of souls were added to the Kingdom of Christ by using them and we are missing the mark when we leave them out!

The brook looks thirsty.
The pebbles look dry.
There’s no rushing water.
Or a cloud in the sky!

Where have they gone?
These pretty shinny stones!
They are thirsty for a covering
Water! Their heart moans!

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.  Jeremiah 6:16

An Explanation

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

I want to explain what I am doing in my almost daily writing.  Perhaps some of you have noticed that I write these from the Book of the Psalms.  I’m now about to start the twelfth Psalm.  I go through each Psalm verse by verse, write a comment and a poem.

What I want you to understand; this is not meant to be a commentary on the Psalms.  It is the thoughts I have during the reading and meditation on the particular verse.

This marvelous book is always a comfort to the reader.  I have been comforted by it in both sad and happy times, even when things were neutral.  It is like reading the mind of GOD!
It is my prayer that what I write is acceptable in the sight of GOD!  I pray He will take my weakness and empower me to be a blessing to the reader just as much as He does for me!

When I speak a word
Let it be from above.
Whisper into my mind
The expression of Your love.

When I write a word
Lead me in what to write.
Give me special words
That a soul, I might ignite!

The Word of GOD is always the final authority!

“Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.Psalm 119:92

A Virtuous Love

“For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.”  Psalm 11:7

GOD doesn't love us because we are righteous. He loves us in spite of our ungodly ways!  He loves righteousness!  He is righteous in its precise form.  Because of His love for you and me, He made it possible through JESUS the SON to make us righteous.  Because of the SON’s love and obedience He now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for those the Holy Spirit has drawn and converted!

Please if you haven’t already, put your faith and trust in Christ!

It is not because we are righteous,
That the FATHER sent His SON!
We are just the opposite.
We are sinners and undone.

What a price GOD did pay,
That we might be made clean.
The Father turned His back on HIM
And would not intervene!

The SON paid the debt I owed
As HE hung upon that tree!
Never thinking of Himself
He was thinking, about me!

He paid the horrible cost!
He rose up from the dead!
He sent the Holy Spirit!
He’s coming back, like HE said!

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”  2 Corinthians 5:21

The Horror of the Cup

“Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.”  Psalm 11:6

The wicked is a group I do not want to be a part of!  But when I examine myself I fit right in.  If you are honest you also will find this true of yourself. We are all liars, thieves, inwardly corrupt and desperately wicked.  This is not a thought but it is written in the Word of GOD!

Glory to the FATHER who sent the SON to take our place!  JESUS was the only man fit to be in the righteous group!  Tempted He was in every way we are and yet never sinned!  He was perfect in every respect!  He took the cup we deserved and redeem us from the penalty of death!

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

There is a cup I wish not to drink
Filled to the brim with snares!
Its grisly taste is bitter and barbed
It looks like wheat but it is tares!

Just a touch to the lips is fatal you see,
Like fire and brimstone going down.
To the inward parts of body and soul
Submerged you’ll certainly drown!

Out of this cup comes a tempest strong
You will beg for a little relief.
But you've spent your time submerged in self
Now all that is left is your grief!

“And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.”  Mark 14:36

For Better or Worse

“The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”  Psalm 11:5

I don’t think anyone likes to go through a trial but knowing the LORD is well aware of what is going on makes the trial easier.  To the believer these are tests of our faith!  God is helping us to see Him!  When we cry out to Him, He hears and answers.  The test turns to grace!  We see God when He reveals Himself through our faith in Him!

To those outside of GOD’s grace, those here called the wicked; they are faced with the wrath of GOD!  Fear should come over the one that is in this category!  I would hate to know that the righteous GOD hates my soul, wouldn't you?

Why should I run from my trial?
And where do I think I can go?
If I just trust in the promise of JESUS
I’m sure my direction He’ll show!

GOD is proving my faith by this trial.
He is revealing Himself to my heart.
I’ll cling to the love He has promised
And nothing will drive us apart!

For the wicked the path is different.
They without shame deny their GOD.
They are covered in sin and rebellion
Their life has become a facade!

GOD is disgusted with the way they are living.
Only through JESUS will the FATHER forgive.
Your life might be just about over.
Trust the SAVIOR and learn how to live!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:1

“His Eye is on The Sparrow”

“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.”  Psalm 11:4

GOD watches over man
From His place on high.
Always seeing everything
His Word does testify!

With gentle eyes locked upon us,
He watches our every move.
With every fall we have taken,
Our sin He wants to remove!

But do not ever take for granted,
This kind and loving GOD,
His gentle eyes can turn to fire.
He knows when He sees a fraud!

We may fool others but we never fool GOD.  Knowing He watches our every move should put us on alert and cause us to change our ways.  Whether we are the one that has never put trust in Him or one that claims the SON!

His Holy Eyes look upon all of us!  It is up to us if we want Him to look at us with “Gentle Eyes” or “Eyes of Fire”. It is our choice!

Knowing GOD is watching
Every step I take.
Help me LORD to follow
And never be a fake!

PS: I love you JESUS

“So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.”  Matthew 20:34

The JESUS Foundation

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  Psalm 11:3

Only the foundation man can be destroyed!  The foundation of GOD stands forever!  It is unyielding to the forces of evil!  It will never crack!  It will never settle out of sync!  It is perfect in every way!

The Foundation is JESUS, the Solid Rock and the Chief Corner Stone!  This foundation is built on the shed blood of the SON of GOD which is, The Anchor of our Salvation!

Nothing is in sync,
Everything is out of control.
Nothing fits together.
LORD please guide my soul.

There is no foundation,
That man can build for me.
That will bring me satisfaction,
From mans I will flee!

Let my eyes be opened,
To see the Solid Rock!
I’ll build my life upon Him
And my peace He’ll unlock!

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  1 Corinthians 3:11

Rubber Arrows

“For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.”  Psalm 11:2

The enemy of the righteous, lurk in darkness, they are like snakes that coil, ready to strike.  Their arrows are real and their purpose is to break down the believer.  With their arrows of hate they try to destroy the believers hope but their ill attempt will fail!

The wicked stand boldly in front of GOD, denying His existence and His power.  They will laugh in the face of the believer and ridicule them for their belief.  The hate they have stops at nothing but in the end they will receive their reward.

They will call on their god, but he will be missing in action. As the righteous see the presence of GOD they will shout, “The LORD, He is GOD”, “The LORD, He is GOD”!  Don’t fret my believing friend.  We will have our victory in the end!  We’ll see just as Elijah did on Carmel that day!  Victory in JESUS, all the way!

Out of the darkness the wicked wait,
Their bows made ready to infiltrate.
The purpose of this deceitful way,
Is to make the righteous an easy prey!

But what they don’t seem to understand,
Is the righteous are held by GOD’s own hand.
He will never leave them nor forsake,
By Him alone we make our escape!

So go ahead with your so called power,
GOD will be there in that hour!
He’ll protect us from the arrows you shoot,
They’ll fall to the ground, your power He’ll mute!

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”  ~ “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” Psalm 46:1-3~7

In GOD I Trust!

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?”  Psalm 11:1

Running never works, it only delays the inevitable. Trusting in self may give a form of safety but absolutes are only in the LORD!  Listening to the direction of others may comfort for a time but everlasting shelter belongs with the LORD!

I would like to tell you that I have never done wrong after my salvation but that would be a lie!  There have been too many of those times in my life and each of them torments my soul. The hardest part of falling is getting back up!  To try to get up under your own power is the same process of self-dependence that caused you to fall in the first place.

I thank the LORD for helping me rise from the pits I have put myself.  Without Him I would be most miserable!

I flew to a mountain, of imaginary safety.
I nested in a tree, the wind blew down.
What I thought was solace, was just another trial!
Now with head in hands, I sit here with a frown.

If I had only listened, to what the LORD had told me.
And not the things self and others said.
I would not be here, lying in my sorrow.
I would be happy, not wishing I was dead!

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”  1 Thessalonians 5:3
