“They speak vanity every one with his
neighbour: with flattering
lips and with a double heart do they speak.” Psalm
12:2
Empty wells are the words of
the ungodly. They promise to quench the thirst
of those that listen but satisfaction is far from them. Words from a dry well bring dehydration, but
the Living Water hydrates the body and the soul.
They gather together to
reinforce their lies, they smooth talk one another and pat each others back. Their deception is reinforced by their wicked
minds and many are deceived.
Their interest is in
themselves they speak with words that entice and flatter. They draw the hearer
in. They have a forked tongue and speak
out of both sides of their mouths to satisfy and draw all to themselves. Great swelling words may tickle the ear but
the Word of GOD is absolute truth.
Promising words of great
expectation,
Fooling the hearts of wishful
souls.
Narcissistic bullfrogs with arrogant
talking,
Ruining lives, they have set
their goals.
Their lips move like the wings
of a butterfly.
They never stop but they go
flattering on.
Expressing to you with this deceitful
melody,
Cunningly planting the lies
they spawn!
“For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the
lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness,
those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.” 2 Peter 2:18
