HOLY HOLY HOLY

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3

GOD is Holy in every respect, this is His nature.  Everyone born into this world is a sinner by nature.  GOD is righteous and man is not!  We are utterly wicked as “filthy as rags”! Rom. 3:23, Isa. 64:6

CHRIST put off His righteousness and put upon Himself our unrighteousness on the cross in order that we might become Holy, being born-again and a new creation in CHRIST! Jn. 3:3, 2 Cor. 5:17, 2 Cor. 5:21

This Holy GOD has asked of us one thing, to be His witnesses to all the world, telling others of His sacrificial love for all.  May I say, you can not be an effective witness for CHRIST if you don’t mimic His Holiness!  Mark 16:15, 1 Pet. 1:16

Because GOD is Holy,

He purifies the soul!

Because GOD is Holy,

He makes the sinner whole!

Because GOD is Holy,

He answers all our prayers!

Because GOD is Holy,

He loves us and really cares!

Because GOD is Holy,

He guides us by the LIGHT!

Because GOD is Holy,

He removed our need to fight!

Because GOD is Holy,

He takes away our fear!

Because GOD is Holy,

He fills our hearts with cheer!

Because GOD is Holy,

Let us live as He asks!

Because GOD is Holy,

Being Holy is our task!

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;” 1 Peter 1:15

THE "I AM" GOD!

“O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.” Psalm 22:2

There is nothing greater then a crying Christian, as long as they are crying out to GOD!  A sure sign of real faith is depending on the LORD for everything no matter how big or small.  

A whining Christian is not so great!  I’m sure they must sound like spoiled children to GOD.  It must be hard for Him to hear all the “why me’s” and to watch the pity parties!

The LORD promised to hear the prayers of faith, they don’t go unanswered.  The condition of the heart must be in one accord with the heart of GOD.  The fact is, GOD is!  He is not governed by anything or anyone!  There has never been a prayer He hasn’t heard or answered when the righteous in CHRIST ask!

There is a mistake we often make,

Thinking GOD doesn’t hear.

As if He is to busy and not alert,

And that He really doesn’t care. 

With GOD there is no time,

And nothing He doesn’t know.

There is not a word He does not hear!

GOD is at all times in the flow!

This is why He told Moses,

When he asked Him for His name! 

You can call Me “I AM”!

I always stay the same!

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”  2 Corinthians 12:9

Where is GOD

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?”  Psalm 22:1

Whenever you feel down and think you are not being heard by God.  Think of JESUS and what it must have been like for Him.  

There have been times in my life when I have cried out to GOD and asked the same question JESUS did, “Why have You forsaken me”?  

The Father forsook the Son because of our sin, He had taken on!  No sin goes unpunished and no prayer goes unanswered when it is through Christ!  

Answered Prayer:  Death-Burial-Resurrection - JESUS SAVES

Oh my LORD provide the words 

That I can express this thought.  

Why ONE would die for my sin

My righteousness He Bought!

He knew the price He would pay.

Yet on this path He went.

Forsaken by the Fathers care!

His life for me He spent!

Even as He groaned within,

By the pain He would endure.

His only thought was you and me,

He took our sin and made us pure!

 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-12

A Holy Shout

“Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.” Psalm 21:13

Honor, Glory and Praise to the Most Glorious, I AM, “which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”  His strength is incomparable to any power that has ever been or will be!  

Compared to a blade of grass, He is a redwood, Compared to a thimble of water, He is all the oceans put together!  Compared to a lighting bug, He is the Bright and Morning Star and to single speck of dust, He is Everest!  

He is JEHOVAH, He is JESUS and He is the HOLY GHOST and most important to me is, He is my SAVIOR!

Whether by rapture 

Or death through the grave.

One day with the saints, 

I’ll give GOD His due praise! 

Then will I shout 

With all of my might

Thanking my JESUS,

For winning the fight! 

His power forever,

His grace, through all time

Blessing and glory,

JESUS is mine!

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 7:9-12

The Archers Arrow

“Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.” Psalm 21:12

You may think you can hide from GOD but only a fool would think so.  You may think you can disguise yourself so GOD can't see you!  Ahab thought so but the arrow of the unknown archer found the perfect spot!  Don't be an Ahab!  1 Kings 22

As they turn back, God moves forward

Onward to their utter defeat!

They will turn to run for safety. 

They’ll find no strength to move their feet!

  

There’s not a place to go in hiding.  

To escape The GOD that’s everywhere!

To the end of the universe His arrow finds you!

Your total defeat, GOD will declare!

“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?  If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” Psalm 139:7-12

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Hebrews 12:25

They Haven't Got a Clue

“For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.”  Psalms 21:11

We must be very carful of what we trust and who we listen to.  The Apostle Paul called this “tickling the ears”.  We live in a day of new ideas and philosophies.  Everyday there seems to be something new but let me remind you, “there is nothing new under the sun.”

They come boastfully claiming to have something that has never been discovered before. They lead you in long conversations trying to convince you with inciting words.  On the service they may sound good but in reality they are clouds that carry no rain.  Worthless words that take you to fantasy land.  

Not to worry, you have the Word of GOD to rely on.  The Word of GOD remains forever. It is our single guide to purity and knowledge.  It contains everything we will ever have to know.  Its doctrine is pure and you can trust it.  Anything not found within its pages is worthless! 

Be watchful of the traps of evil,

Those that often come our way!

Their trickery is so deceitful,

They want to take your peace away!

Like a feather in your ear,

They tickle you and they say.

You don’t need GOD my friend.

I will give you a better way!

But what do they stand upon?

From where do they get their prove?

Everyone is a philosopher

But their words aren’t the truth!    

Truth lies in the Word of God! 

Nowhere else can it be found! 

Trusting in yourself or others,

Will never put you on solid ground! 

They boast of all their greatness.

They say their way is all true!

But if it can’t be backed with GOD’s Word

Then for sure, they haven’t got a clue!

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Whose Side Are You On?

“Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.” Psalm 21:10

No one can fight the ALMIGHTY and win!  No one ever has and no one ever will.  The losers fight GOD and the winners are those that put their faith and trust in Him! 

Not only is it impossible to lose when you trust GOD but you also have assurance of winning.  “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

To whom do they think they are fighting?

Perhaps with a weakling such as them! 

Listen to me, you who fight against GOD

Your chances are less than slim!

Not a battle or a war has God lost!

Not a skirmish or even a fight!

His strength is the power of His Word!

And nothing can compare to His might! 

So when He says He will destroy the sinful

And wipe their future away.

You can count on it happening,

There is just nothing more to say!

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

A GOD of Anger

“Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.” Psalm 21:9

There used to be a lot of preaching about GOD’s anger, His judgment and the literal place called Hell.  We live in a day of watered down preaching but I must tell you that won’t change the reality of GOD’s anger or change the temperature of Hell one degree.

Isn’t it strange JESUS thought it was very important and yet most don’t mention much of it anymore.  He spoke more of Judgment, anger and Hell than He did love.  But I suppose it isn’t the politically correct thing to do in our day?

There is this thing called anger 

Brought on by a word called love!

This seems so astounding!

Could it come from God above?

Oh listen to His story.

He gave His only Son.

Rejected by the multitudes!

His grace to everyone!

Do you not expect the anger!

That the Father, He must feel!

Rejection of His only Son

Whose love, is so real! 

There isn’t the time to gamble

To even take a chance! 

You will miss the hope of Glory!

And the Fathers anger will advance!

This is what is waiting, 

For those that will reject!

For those that love themselves

And the love of Jesus they neglect!

The fire it will devour them! 

This place that we call Hell!

No hope for their salvation!

No chance for an appeal!

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7

Faith is the Victory

“Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.” Psalm 21:8

I used to wonder why I was losing so many battles until I realized I couldn’t win on my own.  We can be right with GOD, doing the things we ought to but the moment we think we can do it ourselves we have already lost the battle.

Trusting ourselves is sin.  "The just shall live by faith"!

This victory GOD has given me 

Isn’t just a battle I have won.

It’s a war that He has finished!

Through the power of His Son!

There’s not a foe that can harm me.

Not an enemy He doesn’t know.

The HOLY SPIRIT goes before me.

In His strength I will go!

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8:31-34

Glory to GOD

“For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.” Psalm 21:6

Every hope the believer has is passed through JESUS.  Every blessing we have or ever will have is only because of the personal relationship we have with our LORD!  We deserve nothing and have everything!

By His stripes we are healed.  He takes our sorrow and replaces it with joy.  He wipes the pain from our hearts and changes our appearance.  By His sacrifice we are made righteous.  We are a new creation in and through CHRIST!

He took all the sorrow I had. 

He replaced it with joy!

He lifted me from the depths of pain, 

And my grief He did destroy!

He changed my appearance, 

My frown was left behind!

He replaced it with a smile, 

And my face began to shine!

My walk no longer limps along; 

My steps became sure and true!

I skip along the road He gave, 

My life is completely new!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

My Never Ending Story

“His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.”  Psalm 21:5

It’s been forty six years sense I put my trust in JESUS and I will never get tired of telling the story of what He has done for me!  Whenever I tell my story I never feel like I have given the LORD the honor He deserves!

I’ve given my testimony so many times that all my family and many of my friends can tell it for me.  I told our church yesterday that it is, ‘my never ending story’.  It will never change or ever end it will continue for eternity!  It will proceed forever even to the throne of GOD to give praise to JESUS who gave so much for one so underserving!

What GOD has done?

Is there a way to show 

Your gratitude for the SON?

Is there a way to express

All your delight?

Show me the way LORD

Send me the Light!

How do you honor 

One such as He?

How do you thank Him 

For what He brought to be?

How do you utter 

All that you feel?

Glory and Honor, 

JESUS is real!

Why did He give me 

The peace that He did?

Why didn’t He look at all 

The bad that I did?

Why didn’t He see 

And leave me behind?

Inexpressible love, 

JESUS so kind!

There are no words 

That you can express!

There is not a sentence 

That I can attest!

There is not a thought 

That you can expel! 

The love of JESUS, 

I wish to tell!  

He loved me on

That very dark night!

He had sent others 

To tell of His might!

He opened His Book 

In my sight!

I saw JESUS, 

He sent the Light!

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

Just Ask

“He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.” Psalm 21:4

Thank GOD for the victory we can have in JESUS.  I think of all the wasted years of my life I spent when all I had to do was ask.  The times of loneliness and pain could have been wiped away had only asked earlier then I did.  Never the less I’m forever thankful for the day I did!

The request was made from deep within; 

My heart was down with despair. 

I cried aloud, you heard my cry, 

And my life You did repair! 

Not only did I receive the relief, 

That I so desperately needed. 

But now forever this day won’t end,

Because in Christ I pleaded!

Thank You Lord for all You’ve done,

Without You I’d been defeated!

Now I look toward Heaven above

Where I know that You are seated! 

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7

His Majesty

“For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head." Psalm 21:3

It always bothers me when a soldier, policemen or anyone else has died to help another and they quote John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Please don’t misunderstand what I am trying to say.  While the one that does such a thing is most defiantly a wonderful person that shows great love and bravery, the verse they use was spoken by JESUS to the twelve describing His soon death.  

Nothing can ever be compared to what JESUS did!  He took our sin to the cross in our place, freeing us from the penalty of death! “For all have sinned”!  Some may die for another but only JESUS rose again promising the same resurrection for those that trust and rely on Him!

The FATHER placed a crown on the SON

Which was made of the purest gold!

He gave Him a name above all names,

His Majesty is great to behold!

JESUS’ answer came before I spoke,

He knew what was upon my heart.

Oh what peace came to me

And the grace He did impart! 

As others watched they saw my gain

With amazement they did behold.

My life had changed before their eyes.

JESUS is the greatest story ever told!

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:8-11

What More Could you Want

“Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not with holden the request of his lips. Selah.” Psalm 21:2

The child of GOD is blessed beyond understanding.  The greatest of all blessings is His SON!  The things the LORD has done for me are too numerous to write down.  How wonderful it is to have such love from The Almighty GOD!  Stop and think about it!

Don’t become complacent, keep your eyes on JESUS and receive your hearts desire.  He’s waiting to pour out a blessing.  Live by faith! 

How soon we forget 

The love of the Savior.

How soon we forget 

What He has to give!

If only we trust Him 

With the life we live.

Our hearts desire 

To us He’ll give! 

JESUS my Lord High and Holy! 

JESUS my King forever more!

In my life He has made all the difference!

Hidden in JESUS, as an eagle I soar!
