6. The Heart Reader

“For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”   Psalm 1:6

What thought provoking words, “the Lord knoweth.” They will not escape my thoughts. What does GOD know? He knows everything, He is omniscient. God is the “Heart Reader.”

He knows the thoughts of all humankind, even those of the ungodly. The difference between the “righteous” and the “ungodly” is “The Cross.” “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

While GOD is pleased with the obedient walk of the believer it is only through the sacrifice of “The Sinless Savior” that one can be made “Righteous.” All the glory goes to Christ and none to the believer.

It is by the wonderful mercy and grace of God that we are kept and cared for. Not so for the ungodly. They parish into the unhappy, wretched, and miserable place called, Hell, for eternity.

We may be able to hide from others what is going on in our hearts, but no one will ever hide from God. God is, The Heart Reader and God knows everything!

What does God know about a person?

Is there anything He does not know?

He knows every thought of every mind.

He knows the good along with the woes.

How can one escape His sight,

Or get away from His listening ear?

Can one hide in a cave or beneath the sea?

No! His presence should bring us fear.

Only the fool will think they can hide,

Or dismiss Him from their minds.

God is always reading our hearts.

And what He seeks, He always finds.

“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.” Psalm 138:7-8
