Split to Safety

“Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.”  Psalm 18:15

How magnificent the salvation of the LORD!  By GOD’s supernatural power He splits the natural and buries sin in the depths of forever!  

Men do not have such ability as GOD, theirs is only the natural!  They try without the hope of success to overcome sin but it hangs on to them like a leach.  No work of their own or the love they may express to others has the ability to relieve them from the sin that plagues the evil heart!

GOD makes the way, He splits the sea and we are able to walk on dry land through the safety of His forgiveness.  Left behind is the enemy, our sin which is buried in the depths of the sea of forgiveness! 

GOD split the sea, He split the veil!

He made away for me.

Freedom came from this life of sin,

When JESUS set me free!

Oh to know this splendid grace,

Overwhelms this soul within!

I’m free, I’m free for evermore,

From this depraved life of sin!

I don’t deserve His amazing grace.

Without it, I would be lost!

I will forever praise the name of JESUS!

By His sacrifice, my sins were tossed!

“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.” Romans 6:22

As The Arrow Flies

“Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.”  Psalm 18:14

The arrows of GOD are as great bolts of lightning, to accomplish His purpose!  Once the arrow is pulled from the fetter it always hits its target, never has it missed!  To where will men run from GOD?

Whether you are a disguised king in fear of your life or the rebellious heart refusing the SON of GOD, GOD’s arrows always hit and can’t be misdirected!

The Word of GOD is His fetter; each word of it is “alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” GOD is the master of all archers!

GOD has given His people the use of the fetter and its lighting bolt arrows to broadcast and to convince all of their sin and the need of the SON for forgiveness!    If GOD’s people shoot the arrows, He will direct their path!

Out of the fetter, GOD’s arrows are drawn.

Bow brought back, straight they have gone!

Wherever GOD intended they’re sure to go.

The greatest Archer of all He will show!

Be careful my friend that his arrows don’t fly

In the direction of you, He’ll hit the bull’s eye!

The only way to stop the arrows that fly,

Is to trust GOD’s Word and to it comply!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

GOD’s Thundering Voice

“The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hailstones and coals of fire.”  Psalm 18:13

When GOD speaks the thundering of His voice is heard, it shakes the earth below. Some run with fear and others rest easy, His voice is full of power, it penetrates the earth and the hearts of men! 

There is no escaping His thundering voice, to where will you run?  “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:” Hebrews 12:25

GOD’ thundering voice is not only heard by the multitudes but by the individual. He speaks to the heart!  Resisting GOD is fatal but to hear Him is life everlasting!

The voice of GOD spreads over the earth!

His thundering will not go unheard!

Even the deaf will hear as He speaks

Every sentence and every word!

There will be no way to cover the ears!

Nor walk into a silent room!

A voice more powerful than ever heard!

Not to hear is utter doom!

Don’t tempt the LORD by refusing to hear!

While He speaks through the love of the SON

Give your heart to Him now while He speaks soft and clear.

Or GOD’s thundering’s have just begun!

“The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.” Psalm 29:3-5   

Brilliant the Light

“At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.”  Psalm 18:12

The intensity of the brilliance of GOD is light in its purest form.  The voice of thundering and sharp bolts of lightning announces the brightness of His Glory, and darkness runs from His presence!

“Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.” GOD’s presence moves the dark clouds from their place and changes them to bright fiery hail stones that fall away in the darkness, only His brightness remains!

In the end darkness will no longer exist; it will be gone along with all it represents.  No more sin, no more pain and the sorrow it causes.  Only the brightness of the SON will remain! 

Even now a glimpse of the final Glory is available to those that by faith trust GOD’ SON and the reality of it all will appear at His appearance!

Brilliant the Light that shines through darkness!

Wiping away a heart full of sin!

Brilliant the Light that shines through darkness!

Those that call on JESUS surly will win!   

Oh the Light He is so precious.

Morning visions of glory I see.

Revelation made perfect

Through JESUS my Savior.

Magnificent light He gave to me.

Brilliant the Light that shines through darkness,

Making our path much easier to stroll.

Brilliant the Light that shines through darkness,

Shine through me, winning others my goal.

Oh the Light He is so precious.

“I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”  Revelation 22:16

In the Presence of GOD

                                                                                                                     

“He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies”.  Psalm 18:11

Behind the veil GOD was hidden, not to hide Himself from man, but His Holiness was too magnificent and our sin is to ugly to enter in.  Only one with great preparation could inter this Holy Place and him only once a year. He would stand in the place of the people. 

That day on Calvary’s Hill stood a cross with Christ upon it, “from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.” There He was GOD’s SON hanging upon a cross!  Then JESUS “cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.” 

“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.” Matthew 27:53-54

Now the only veil that separates man from GOD is our sin!  But glory to GOD for the sacrifice of His Son JESUS, the veil is rent and all the saved may inter through the Strait Gate, JESUS our High Priest!

Oh to see The HOLY GOD,

Just to look and gaze!

Wanting just to go inside

To bow and give HIM praise!

I thought to self what must do,

That I might enter in?

I said to self, I’ll clean me up!

My effort couldn’t get me within!

I was told one day by a gentle man,

This is what you must do.

Ask JESUS for forgiveness

He paid the price for you!

Now I can enter!

“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3

The Wings of the Wind

“And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.”  Psalm 18:10

GOD’ power can only be imagined, His strength is far above any thought we can conceive.  There is nothing mightier than the ALMIGHTY; He rides “upon the cherub”!

The breath of His existence carries Him from here to there.  There is no resistance as He flies and watches over His creation.  He moves as He wills, while He is here He is also there, He flies on the “wings of the wind”! 

He is the protector of His people!  He is the enemy of those that resist Him!  But one day everyone will declare Him to be the LORD of lords and the KING of kings!  He is GOD, the ALMIGHTY!

I don’t see the wind when it blows

But I see the effects of it.

GOD rides the wings of the wind

And yet is far above it!

He rides the winds on my behalf

And this I AM sure of it!

Not seen with the naked eye.

By faith I have discovered it!

God breaths the wind by His power

He has complete control over it!

Just as I can’t see the wind

By faith I see GOD in it!

So blow therefor you Mighty Wind

As I ride along with You!

Take me high to Heaven’s hope

With all my breath I praise You!

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  Philippians 2:9-11   

Storm of The ALMIGHTY

“He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.”  Psalm 18:9

As sure as there is water in the sea and stars in the sky, GOD’ anger will not be held back on those that deny His SON! 

To where will they flee when the thunders of Heaven come down upon the face of the earth?  Darkness will cover them, fear will overcome them and there will be no escape or help for them.  They are now alone and terror will overtake them! 

All those that refuse CHRIST and those that have mocked and caused harm to Him and His Church, all the pretenders of His grace will face the storm of the ALMIGHTY!  GOD has said it, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”! Romans 12:19

“The hand of God is still stretched out”, don’t be counted in the number of those that will face the storm of the ALMIGHTY! 

There is a storm, it’s on the way!

Darkened clouds, trees will sway!

Lightening out of the pitch dark sky!

Fire and rain that will horrify!

There is no cover for the lost to take!

Trust JESUS! Don’t hesitate!

If you’re not covered with the blood,

You’ll find yourself in miry mud!

Those within the body of CHRIST

Protected through bloods sacrifice!

Sheltered under the wings of GOD

The storm passes with tip and nod!

“Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2b 

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

All the Anger of GOD

“There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.”  Psalm 18:8

What can stand against the GOD’s own?  From where will come the strength to withstand His mighty power? 

Satan has tried and GOD will laugh at his calamity and all those that follow after his pernicious ways, they have the same fate!

No one, not the angels of GOD or any of His creation have the ability to withstand GOD’ might power and strength!  Only a fool would want to kindle such fury!

It is so that the unbeliever in their blasphemous way tempts the angry of the Mighty GOD but so it is for those that claim the victory of His salvation and waste their days serving themselves instead of proclaiming the CHRIST that redeemed them!

How much longer will the ALMIGHTY withhold His fury?  How much time before the fall?  Better it is to be for Him than it is to be against Him!

What is the anger of the LORD?

No living man can tell.

Far from any anger seen before!

It’s reviled in the pits of Hell!

There is no way to compare it.

To the anger we have seen.

Smoke comes from His nostrils.

It’s worse than can be foreseen!

GOD chastises those that love Him.

As a father does his son.

He has reserved all His anger

For the sinner that’s undone!

If you don’t want to face GOD’s anger

There’s only one thing you can do.

Understand you are a sinner,

And only JESUS can bring you through!

To reject the FATHER’s SON

Is the worst thing you can do!

“Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”  Acts 16:29-31

Wrath Of The LAMB

“Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.”  Psalm 18:7

GOD does, so love the world but make no mistake about it, He hates sin! 

GOD gave His best, “The Only Begotten Son”, “JESUS” to take our place! Because of our sin ridden hearts, JESUS freely gave His life, and the FATHER was pleased! Because of His immense love for you and me, He was pleased!

It is true that you have a choice.  You will make a decision, it is all yours but only a fool would make the choice of self rather than the way of the cross!  “The fool hath said in his heart there, is no God” Psalm 14:1

The LORD will not hold them guiltless that refuse His, gift of salvation, through His Son!  “Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.”

Wroth He will be, furious, fuming with rage over those that refuse the cross and choose themselves!  Hell’s mouth is open; the fiery pit is ready to receive those that refuse CHRIST JESUS!

Time is short, are you ready?  Beware of the wrath of the LAMB!

The fury of the LORD is real

It’s not a fairy tale.

One day He’ll show His wrath.

Only the Believer will prevail!

I would hate to be in the shoes

Of the one who hesitates.

No place to hide or to run

And fire and Hell awaits!

GOD’s fury will come like lighting

The earth will begin to move.

His voice will be as thunder.

His enemies He will reprove!

No harsher words will He speak,

As He looks upon men undone.

Go away, I never knew you!

You refused my faithful SON!

“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:” Rev. 6:16

The Value of Faith

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalm 18:6

Are you at your wits end trying to understand why you are where you are?  Has heartache overtaken you and fear replaced peace?  Where do you go for help?  Who can you trust? 

The answer to your dilemma is of course the LORD!

It is sad for me to say that too often the LORD is the last place most of us go.  Oh, we say the quick prayer and then start trying our own methods to work things out.  We begin asking our friends for advice and sometimes we find ourselves in a pity party.

When we take things to the LORD and go on our own we have not expressed the true value of faith! “Now the just shall live by faith” and “without faith it is impossible to please GOD”!   Give it to the LORD and trust Him to do what He has already promised to do! Wait on the LORD!

There is no greater joy then when you believe by faith that GOD will answer your prayers and He does.  He speaks to our hearts when He shows Himself in His answer!

Tangled in this web I was

Smothered in defeat.  

Prostrate now I find myself,

At the Savior’s feet!

Oh what joy He heard my cry

From His Temple High.

It was JESUS CHRIST the LORD

That heard my earnest cry! 

  

Such love had never been expressed,

To this weary soul! 

Now I’m thankful for evermore.

JESUS has made me whole!

“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” Romans 12:12

JESUS DESTROYS FEAR - Psalm 18:5

“The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.” Psalm 18:5

 

Before my salvation “The sorrows of Hell” were on my mind. I was constantly faced with what death would be. I felt the rope of the executioner around my neck. I was bound with the devil’s fetters. Chains were wound about me; I was altogether in fear of the future.

 

I was as a wild beast being pursued. Traps were set and I fell into them. I was always on alert but not seeing I fell and was captured by the evil schemes of the devil. I knew I was a sinner without Christ. The hope of the lost is death and Hell.

 

I never felt the need for Jesus until I realized how wicked I really was. Until we quite pretending how perfect we are and we see how pure and wonderful Jesus is, and all that He has done for us, only then can we taste the sweet freedom and peace God has for us.

 

The sorrows of death had choked me.

It was fear that controlled my being.

Jesus took the sorrow of death from me.

Now life is the sweetest ever seen.

 

My heart is now full of happiness,

My thoughts are only good,

I know Jesus has completely saved me,

Yet, His love is not understood.

 

Such grace I cannot explain it,

And the freedom that I now feel.

But, I’m thankful for now and forever,

To JESUS, who I made my appeal!

 

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

The Written Word

“The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.”  Psalm 18:4

Floods of trouble and the waves of fear wash upon the shores of our lives; they seem to be ever present.  One wave after another they hit our banks causing misery for us and those we are surrounded by.

When death knocks on the door of our life and we are faced suddenly with the thought of this life’s end, we know it is all out of our hands, there is nothing we can do. 

Oh my friend today there is a help that never leaves even in the darkest of days.   “There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel’s veins;”  “Ever since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die:”

There are no great lights, visions of splendor or great feelings that overcomes us.  The comfort is in One, The Word of GOD!   

There is a book that tells it all!

The words of which do guide me.

I read its words, was made clean

And The Author, He did save me!

The words of this Book never stop.

They continue each day to guide me!

They keep me straight and lead my way

So I keep this Book, close beside me!

The key my friend is don’t let it slip

From your daily reading!

Keep it close in heart and mind,

And on your knees keep pleading!

Is there anything more important than the Word of GOD?  Is there anything that should take its place in our lives?  Do we absorb ourselves in it?  You can see below how important it was to the Apostle Paul! 

“The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.” 2 Timothy 4:13
