The Protector of My Soul

“To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.” Psalm 10:17

There is only one God that can supply every need we have! There is only one God that has omnipotent power! There is only one God that never loses a battle! There is only one God that is omniscient and knows our every thought! There is only one God that is omnipresent, having the power to deal with all at one time, the righteous and the unrighteous!

This is, “YHWH”, "THE HOLY TETRAGRAMMATON"! “THE FATHER", "THE SON" and "THE HOLY GHOST”, He is altogether “ONE “and altogether "Beautiful”, the “I AM” of my soul! I call Him "JESUS"!

Here is the conclusion of my thought.
It was through GODs love, I was bought!

He is the everlasting protector of my soul!
He watches over me, wherever I go!

He lifts me up when I fall down!
He wipes my tears and takes my frown!

He knows all the weakness I possess!
By His power He removes all the stress!

He fights my battles!
He takes my place!
I never will lose!
I’m kept by His Grace!

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Always Hears - Always Listening

“LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:” Psalm 10:17

I learned from the very beginning of my ministry how important it was to listen to people when they come for help.  I was a novice, saved and called to preach only a couple of months prior.  The pastor had left our little mission church in Anderson, Alaska to take a church in Ouray, Colorado.  When people came for advice I simply listened to them and prayed!  You don’t have to have all the answers.  GOD does!

I’m thankful GOD listens!  Even during those early days as I listened to the people I was silently praying for the LORDs help and He always came through. The LORD is never too tired to listening to us.  I believe it is a sweet smelling savor to Him, like singing in His ear.  The more you pray the more joy you bring to GOD!  Pray in the morning when you rise!  Pray throughout the day! Pray as you walk!  Pray as you talk! Pray at night and when you wake in the night!  Pray, pray and pray more!  The more you pray the more GOD listens!  You can’t wear Him out!

I’m amazed how GOD does listen,
To the prayers that comes from me.
I’m the least and don’t deserve it,
Oh how grateful I am to thee!

Not only the words which I do mutter,
But every thought my mind reflects,
GOD is there and GOD does listen,
Listening to all, and always directs!

There GOD is, far above me,
Looking over my feeble soul!
Hearing all that I am praying,
Always there to keep control!

Comfort is always before me,
Knowing that You are always there
Oh my JESUS how I love You!
I am blessed to be in Your care!

The Always King

“The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.”  Psalm 10:16

Jesus, The King of Glory has promised all a hope of complete contentment, restitution and security.  Satan also has a plan for you which is hidden and comprised of good feelings, self-satisfaction and a do it my way attitude.

Feelings will change, Jesus never does!  Self-satisfaction will disappoint. Jesus never does!  Doing it your way may make you proud for a moment but when failures come you will be disappointed.  Jesus never fails!

I have a King that reigns forever;
I am one He’ll always protect.
His servant I’ll be wherever it takes me.
Under His love, I’ll never regret.

His abode is in Heaven next to His Father,
His Spirit lives deep within in my soul.
One day upon the streets of Glory,
My King and I will take a stroll.

But what of those whose king is another?
To where will they make their final abode?
They’ll follow their king and perish forever!
They’ll walk with their master down the Hell bent road!

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”  Proverbs 14:12

The Colossal Ability of GOD

“Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.”  Psalm 10:15

When we leave our battles to GOD, we never lose!  Battles lost are those we try to win in our own strength!  Better it is to understand our inability and trust our GOD’s ability!  A proud heart holds to its own strength but victory is in JESUS!

I see the arrows approaching,
Spears not far behind.
Take from them their power.
Give me peace of mind.

Break their arms before me;
Show me all your grace.
Resting in your valor,
Peril they will face.

While they are departing,
Stay not far behind.
Seek out their injustice,
Leave nothing undefined!

Who’s the Blind One?

“Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.”  Psalm 10:14

Our foolish mind might deceive us into believing GOD has better things to do then watch over us, but it is a lie.  He knows everything about us even to the point of how many hairs are upon our head!

He sees our very thoughts, He sees every slip of the tongue and He knows us better than we know ourselves.  When we think He is gone, He is present.  When we sleep He is there and alert!

Is there a place I can go
To escape the eyes of GOD?
Where He can’t see the things I've done,
Or the places I have trod?

Perhaps He doesn't see my deeds,
And is looking at another,
Where He sees all their sin,
And I lay under cover.

This is just absurdity,
This thought I have comprised,
Thinking that the living GOD,
Might have blinded eyes.

Oh, however I've found hope
 In the Word He gave.
He is the helper of the weak,
No longer am I afraid!

“For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.”  Job 34:21

What do you think of GOD?

“Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.”  Psalm 10:13

My heart breaks when I see those, especially in my own family that have chosen their own way instead of GOD’s.  It is so hard to understand why they do as they do but a quick look at my own past reveals some of the answers!

Before I met GOD face to face I had no need for Him.  I didn't know Him as He is!  There were doubts in my mind even of His existence.  I was proud and thought I could make things work by myself.

I struggled, when I looked in the mirror I saw a sad and broken man.  Then I met JESUS!  Did the struggles leave?  No!  But I now had the ability to face anything that came my way.
The space of the universe is not big enough to explain the peace that came over me or the strength that my GOD gave to me.  I have a new mirror to look into!  When I look into it the only image I now see is JESUS!!!

I can’t understand this.
My mind can’t comprehend.
To despise GOD is abhorrent.
It is GOD that  they offend!

To treat with contempt, One so loving.
Under their feet His laws they trod.
They don’t even recognize Him,
As Creator and the Mighty GOD!

They deny His very presents.
They refuse the SPIRITS call.
With every step they turn,
They don’t see their fatal fall.

But one day He’s coming
A two edged Sword in His hand.
He’ll judge the quick and dead.
Will you be able to stand?

“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”  1 Corinthians 15:47-49

Arise, O LORD

“Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.”  Psalm 10:12

There is no greater peace than the peace of knowing GOD will fight our battles!  And yet we struggle time after time, trying to fight the battle on our own.  Is it so hard to let go and let GOD fight for you?

It is a matter of faith!  If we say we believe what GOD says and never rely on Him for what He has promised, we are weak and the strength of GOD is unused in our lives.

We don’t have to wait to see the Glory of GOD, we can see it now!  He reveals Himself to us as He takes control of our battles.  He did “Arise” and He will “Arise” in every battle He fights!

Oh the joy I have for tomorrow.
I know the Lord has my hand.
Never does worry beset me.
In Him alone I will take my stand.

When I’m torn by those that hate me,
Set apart for them to press.
I feel the Lord here beside me,
Now I’m ready to face the test.

I feel His hand now upon me;
His assurance is at its best.
“Arise, O LORD”, you’re my armor.
While you fight, I’ll just rest!

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”  Deuteronomy 31:6
