A Just Recompense
“Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.” (Psalm 28:4)
There are two ways to look at this verse. First, we see the thought of using God for a tool in getting at our enemies. Second, we see, God is righteous and all His decisions are based on His Word.
There is a difference in asking God to defeat our enemies and knowing God will always be firm in what He has spoken. God keeps His promises.
You can be sure God will always give a just recompense whether it is for the good or the wicked. He rewards all of us by how we live our lives. There is only light and dark, no in between.
I understand it isn’t our works that makes us righteous, it is only by the grace of God. I also understand while I'm in this body of flesh my actions will always have reactions, good and bad, depending on how I live my life.
It is a comforting thought to know God is righteous and we have His Word to guide us in our everyday life. Trust the LORD and you can be sure He will keep you from your enemies.
God is righteous, He’s always pure.
Never lacking and that’s sure.
A just reward, He’ll give to all.
The Word of God is for the great and small.
If we walk in the path that He has paved.
Always trusting and never swayed.
We’ll receive His promises and that’s for sure.
By believing His Word He’ll keep us pure.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:7-9)
