“He lieth in
wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth
catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.” Psalm 10:9
Just
as the wicked prepare the way for our destruction we too must prepare ourselves
in advance against such peril. The only
way to escape the net of the wicked is by putting our trust in the One that has
paved the road before us. Jesus
provides our safety on the road built with His blood.
The
lion crouches down,
Waiting
for his prey,
So
does the wicked one,
Wanting
you to slay!
The
lion lays waiting,
Planning
out his snatch.
The
wicked prepare their plan.
It’s
you they want to catch!
They
watch every move you make
They
come close by your side.
They
draw you into their net.
And
leave you petrified!
There
is never a ditch to fall in
Or
any miry mud!
When
you trust in JESUS
And
His precious blood!
“Now unto
him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his
glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power,
both now and ever. Amen.” Jude
24-25
